Joshua Sweet is a cinematographer and Director of Photography drawn to authentic stories, different cultures, and the beauty found in everyday life.

Born in Oklahoma City and raised in Virginia Beach, he grew up with a love for music and film. While music was his first creative pursuit, it wasn't until moving to Texas for college that he discovered filmmaking. Through the camera, he found a way to combine storytelling, creativity, and human connection.

Working across documentaries, narrative films, and commercial projects, Joshua is most inspired by real people and real experiences. His approach is grounded in observation and authenticity, creating images that feel honest, immersive, and true to the story.

Whether filming a personal project or other stories, he is driven by a desire to learn from others and experience different ways of life. He believes the most powerful stories are often found in ordinary moments.

As the founder of Sweetnugly Productions, Joshua continues to pursue work that reflects culture, faith, and the shared experiences that connect us. His goal is simple: to tell stories that leave a meaningful and lasting impact.
